Cromwell injury
September 20th | Chaps Utd Medical CentreThe innocuous looking injury, inflicted by team mate and captain Chris Garvey, has turned out far worse than anyone could have imagined.
Cromwell, who suffered the injury in the away defeat to Bromsgrove Brental will miss the remainder of the season, rocking Chaps Utd. His leg now in plaster, Cromwell awaits further knee surgery once he has recovered. This adds to the growing list of injuries for the Chaps, with energetic Moore also out for the entire season, and Mills having retired through old age. Cromwell was leading the appearance charts when he suffered the injury from clusmy Garvey, an everpresent, having only missed portions of the game away against New Inn Saints.
Cromwell was lighthearted in his comments, though few can doubt the pain he must be suffering not being able to pull on the Chaps jersey until next year. Don't worry about it boys, these things happen, just means im taking up golf a couple of years earlier than initially planned.
Looking on the bright side of things, Cromwell noted that he had Saved about £150 in fuel since I started working from home, just been signed off for another 6 weeks with this plaster, so could be a little earner this injury...
All at Chaps HQ hope Cromwell can remain positive throughout his recovery and rehabilitation, and we look forward to his tactical nouse on the touchline as soon as he can mobilise again.
